Later, you’re all soaking in natural hot springs, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Sounds magical, right? That’s Banff for you. We visited Banff in 2023 and it is hands-down one of the most incredible places I’ve ever seen!
Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada
If your family loves skiing or snowboarding, Lake Tahoe is a dream. With family-friendly resorts and stunning views, it’s a winter sports paradise. And trust me, nothing beats hot chocolate by the fire after a day on the slopes.
Orlando, Florida
For those who prefer to escape the cold, Orlando is a classic. With theme parks like Disney World and Universal Studios, it’s a kid’s paradise (and secretly, us adults love it too!).
Hawaiian Islands
Of course no winter vacation list would be complete without listing Hawaii. The average temperature in December in Hawaii is 80°F, and with a plethora of exciting activity options a winter vacation to Hawaii is one for the bucketlist.
